Diana Harwood

Diana Harwood passed away at home on June 12th, 2021 at the age of 73 years old. Diana was born on September 6th, 1947 in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania to the parents of Louis and Lucy Nocki. She attended East Detroit High School, and in 1965 she married her love, William Harwood. A man who stole her heart with the sound of a "horn". She was married for 55 loving years to her beloved husband. Diana was a resident of Sterling Heights and Warren Michigan, where she helped raise her four children with her loving husband William Harwood. Diana held miscellaneous jobs but being a homemaker was her number one love and joy. You always knew mom was home, ready to make you a meal or simply to engage in conversation. Being surrounded by her children and grandchildren was her peace. She is survived by her husband William, sons William Harwood, Vince (Mary Beth) Harwood, Angelo (Margaret) Harwood, daughter, Simone (Jeff) Fallon and grandchildren Jeffery, Allison, Jared, Kyle, William, Michael, Lucy, Nina, and Angelo. Diana was a people person who always enjoyed conversation. She would share stories of her past and always update you on how her children and grandchildren were doing. Her love for travel included many cherished memories with family to Tennessee, Virginia and her loving family in Northern Michigan. Diana had a gift to create. She created many keepsakes for the family to have as long-lasting memories of her love. She always challenged her mind using "Nana's Tablet" to perfect her skill of facts which often came to light when watching Jeopardy. If you stopped at the house, you likely walked in, while she was watching her TV programs that always seemed to have an investigative side to things. Playing the role of "Nana", was perhaps her most favorite. Her children and grandchildren were her pride and joy. She always had news or a story to share about what was going on in their lives. She loved them deeply and it showed in every conversation. Diana, will always be in the hearts and memories of those she has graced in her lifetime. She will be missed deeply and loved always.
