Geraldine Pasquinelli

Geraldine Agnes Pasquinelli (née Porter), 85, of Royal Oak, passed away on March 21st, 2023. At the time of her passing, she was surrounded by her dedicated husband of 61 years, Robert Leon Pasquinelli, and her loving children and grandchildren. In sorrow, Geraldine is survived by her close-knit family: Husband Robert (m. 1961); Children Martin (Julie), Matthew (Tammy), Peter, Martina (Rick), Marcella, Marcus (Lisa); Grandchildren Sydney, Alexandra, Madison (Josh), Nicholas, Olivia, Noah, Rennie (Chris), Peyton, Hailey, Keaton, Hannah, Gannon; Greatgrandchildren Harloe and Greyson. Geraldine was born on November 7th, 1937 to parents Walter and Gladys Porter, at their home on Midland Boulevard in Royal Oak, Michigan. She and her siblings were raised in that one-bedroom home, which may have lacked a source of running water, but was never lacking in love. Geraldine is predeceased by siblings Gwennie, Shod, Winnie, and Arbutus; and survived by siblings Pauline (Jim) and Steve (Linda). She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Geraldine was the maternal pillar of her family: as wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she dedicated most of her waking life to loving and caring for each member of her family. A devoted homemaker, her skills in decorating, gardening, sewing, quilting, and cooking were enviable. Her beautiful spaces and displays brought joy to those around her, especially during times of celebration. Those who knew Geraldine knew her as an exceptional hostess, and together with her husband Bob, they were the life of countless parties and family reunions. Geraldine was a woman of many passions. She was a Christian devoted to God. She was a loyal patriot who loved her country. She was a hard worker who respected co-workers and customers alike. Moreover, Geraldine was an enthusiast for knowledge, spending much of her free time learning history, reading novels, perusing maps, or using facebook to stay connected. Geraldine’s astonishing ability to balance strong commitments to family, with these personal hobbies and passions, will inspire and motivate us for years to come. We will miss our Geraldine - our Wife, our Mom and our Grandma - but her presence will continue to live on in each of us. Her spirit will be remembered, cherished, and honored every day. The Pasquinelli Family hopes that all of our family and friends can join us, in person or in spirit, for a special celebration of Geraldine and her life. Visitation will take place on Monday, March 27 between the hours of 2:00 and 8:00p.m. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 28 at 11:00 a.m. Wm.
