Gwendolyn Cameron

Gwendolyn Cameron passed away peacefully December 12, 2019 in Rochester, MI, at the age of 54, while surrounded by her family. Born February 8, 1965, she lived in Wapakoneta, OH, until her family moved to Michigan when she was 9. Gwen graduated in 1983 from Romeo High School where she met her husband, Franc. She went on to earn a Bachelor's Degree from Oakland University in Auburn Hills and later a Juris Doctorate degree from Cooley Law School. Gwen was a woman of many strengths and talents. While raising four children, she and her husband built their business, Cameron Medical Center for Animals, which she managed alongside him until she went to Law School. Following Law School, she established Pillar Law and Advocacy. She was also an active member of her church, Grace Lutheran Fellowship, and an avid supporter of charities for children, such as Right to Life of Michigan, Samaritan's Purse, and St. Jude. Gwen was known for her wisdom, wit, generosity, sense of adventure, passion for children, and strong faith. She loved to travel, read, and explore- especially with her family. Her favorite subject to study was history. She was a fount of knowledge and enjoyed sharing her discoveries and insights with her own children and nieces and nephews by taking them on numerous trips to museums and landmarks. She enjoyed technology and found thrills in buying the "latest and greatest" new inventions that promised to afford her more time for the things she loved. Above all else, her greatest joy was her family, and she spent her final years with her husband, visiting their children in Michigan, Virginia, Georgia, and Kentucky. She felt a strong conviction to share the love of Jesus Christ and is remembered for always standing firm in her faith, and prioritizing and fostering loving relationships as Christ would. She was the beloved wife of Francis Cameron, DVM; loving Mother of Frances (Corbin) Boone, Abigail Cameron, Spencer Cameron, and Natalie Cameron; proud grandmother of Colt William Boone; dear daughter of Alicia and Larry Winget; sister of Larry Joseph (Kathy) Winget Jr., Adelicia (Joseph) Tignanelli, N.Matthew (Christie) Winget, and Annalisa (Michael) Toth. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
