Judy Moreau

Judy L. Moreau (née Slinker), age 82, a longtime resident of Sterling Heights, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Born on October 11, 1943, in Detroit, Judy was the beloved daughter of the late Virgil and Marjorie (née Biesnecker) Slinker. Judy lived a life centered on faith, family, friendship, and patriotism. She found great joy in traveling and especially treasured the many cruises she shared with her mother. Some of her happiest memories were made spending summers with family and friends at her father's summer home in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. Judy loved opening her home to family and friends, creating lasting memories through laughter, gatherings, and games. She was especially fond of playing Mahjong with a small circle of lifelong friends, a pastime that brought her great happiness over the years. A woman of deep religious conviction, Judy held a profound love for her faith and family. She was also a true and devoted patriot who deeply cherished the Constitution and the values it represented. Family remained the heart of her life, and she took immense pride in the love and closeness they shared. Judy was the beloved wife of Michael "Mike" Moreau; cherished mother of Michele (Todd Hanson) Royle and Andy (Maureen) Moreau; and proud grandmother of Ragn "Ron" Royle, Ferdinand "Ferdy" Royle, and Hazel Royle. She is also survived by her loving siblings: Diane Coulter, John (Cynthia) Slinker, Barbara Slinker, Tom (Karen) Slinker, and Linda Yopp. Judy was preceded in death by her siblings Barry Slinker and Virginia Slinker. She will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. Judy's warmth, strength, faith, and unwavering love for those closest to her will remain a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Judy's life with a visitation on Sunday, May 17, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Monday, May 18, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of her Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. at the Wm.
