Marilyn Ann Lemaux

Marilyn Ann Lemaux, of Sterling Heights, passed away on November 24, 2022 at the age of 74. Marilyn is the cherished wife of 51 years to the late David; the loving mother of Kimberly and Eric (Kristen) the adored grandmother of Ethan and Cole; the beloved sister of Richard (the late Arlene) Zalewski and the late Gregory Zalewski. Marilyn was born on April 1, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan. She grew up in Detroit, and graduated from Cass Tech High School. She worked at Chrysler as a clerk for 10 years, before stepping away to take care of her family. While her children were in school, she enjoyed volunteering at Utica Community Schools, helping out in the library, helping with lunches, and watching the children during recess. As her kids got older, Marilyn went back to work and became a supervisor at Meemic Insurance, where she worked for 20+ years. She also devoted her time at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, where she volunteered with the funeral luncheons. Marilyn was very active. She enjoyed spending time outdoors gardening, going on walks with her dogs, and traveling. She especially enjoyed going different places, experiencing new things, and going to beaches. She even climbed a mountain! She was devoted to her family, and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren; from taking them out and about or attending their events. she was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a cherished grandmother. Marilyn's family will receive friends for visitation on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 pm. at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road (3 blocks East of Van Dyke), Utica. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 44633 Utica Road, instate at 11:30am until the funeral Mass at 12:00 pm. Marilyn's service will be webcast at the church and we will have a link available as soon as we can.
