Marion Lelito

Marion Lelito (nee DeClercq), of Shelby Township, passed away on July 13, 2022, at the age of 79. Marion is the cherished wife of the late Gary Sr.; the loving mother of Gary Jr. (Chris), Cheryl (Tom) Reichenbach; and Greg (Katie); the adored grandmother of Megan (John), Rachel (Tim), Andrew, Matt (Annie), Emma, and Dylan; the dear great-grandmother of Caroline, Margot, and Robert; and the beloved sister of the late Jerry DeClercq. Marion graduated from St. Lawrence High School in 1960. She then worked for General Motors for sometime until she raised her family with her dear husband, Gary. Her faith was very important to her and she was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, and was longtime member of the Altar Society. She also wore many hats while she was at the church, working the front desk at the school, working as the wedding coordinator, and she was a senior representative on the church's parish council for many years. Marion's family was very important to her, and her grandchildren held a special place in her heart. She was a sweet soul, and was known to many as Grandma Marion. Grandma Marion loved her card games, often playing a wide variety from cribbage to euchre to skip-bo. She also loved spending time at the casino. She made friends with most everyone she met, and she will be missed dearly. Marion's family will receive friends for visitation on Sunday, July 17, 2022 at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road (3 blocks East of Van Dyke), Utica, from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Altar Society Rosary service at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be held on Monday, July 18 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church, 44633 Utica Road, Utica, instate 9:30 a.m. until the time of her mass at 10:00 a.m. Marion’s mass will be live streamed and can be found here: https://m.facebook.com/STLUtica/videos/?ref=page_internal&mt_nav=0.
