Mark Schloff

Mark Francis Schloff, of Madison Heights, formerly of Oak Park, Michigan, passed away at home on June17, 2026 at the age of 68. Mark was born on December 8, 1957, in Detroit, Michigan to Donald Joseph and Frances May (nee England) Schloff. He graduated from Berkley High School. Mark proudly served his country for 20 years in the United States Army. He then worked as a mechanic at Detroit Metro airport until retirement. Mark then worked part time at Advance Auto Parts making deliveries. On June 24, 2006, Mark married the love of his life, Michelle MacFarland. Mark is the cherished husband of Michelle; the loving father of Greg Schloff and loving step-father of Kayla (Griffin) Caldwell; the treasured grandfather of Troy Schloff and treasured grumpa of Colsen Caldwell; the adored great-grandfather of Caroline; and the beloved brother of Barbara (Eduardo) Arrieta. Mark is preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Frances, and his brothers, Steven Schloff and James Schloff. Mark lived life to the fullest and had an incredible way of bringing people together, making every moment more fun and creating memories that will last forever. He was famous for "The Club," transforming his basement into the place where everyone wanted to be with tons of glowing lights, spinning disco balls, AC/DC playing, drinks being mixed (including his famous Club Bombs) and the light up dance floor was always ready. He was the ultimate host who kept the energy high and made sure everyone was having a good time (the Shots song was a must!) He also found joy in the simple things - fishing, boating, camping and spending time at his favorite place, Torch Lake, with the people he loved. He had a deep love for his 1968 Buick, enjoying drives to A&W, going to car shows and cruising whenever he could. He also enjoyed baseball/hockey/football, grilling the perfect steak, relaxing at home with a bonfire or watching wrestling and Survivor with Jim's Ice Cream or a slice of his favorite chocolate cake. He also took such pride in his yard, both the front and the back, always planting tons of flowers and hanging in his favorite chair on the deck. He will be remembered for his laughter, his fun-loving personality and the countless memories he created for everyone lucky enough to know him. Mark's family will receive friends for a memorial visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. with a sharing of memories service starting at 2:00 p.m. at Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 705 W. 11 Mile Road, Royal Oak. Inurnment at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly.
