Nancy Jean Morrison (née Pasternacki) With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Grammie, and Great-Grammie, Nancy Jean Morrison (Pasternacki), Nancy passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at the age of 81. Nancy was preceded in death by the love of her life, John Morrison. Together they built a family rooted in love, laughter, and traditions that will be carried on through generations. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Anne Beaulne and Shirley Spileers; her brother-in-law, Tom Bobolts and Bert Beaulne; and her sister-in-law, Kathy Pasternacki. She is lovingly survived by her children, Catherine (Craig) West, Doreen Morrison, and John Morrison; her grandchildren, Alexis (Andrew) Pratt, Ian West (fiancée Isabella Cucchiara), Piper Morrison, and Cannon Morrison; her great-grandson, Aiden Pratt; her sister, Glenda Bobolts and her brother, Frank Pasternacki. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends who were blessed to know and love her. Born in Detroit, Michigan, Nancy spent her early years in Detroit before making her home in Eastpointe and eventually settling in Roseville. While she called several places home throughout her life, her true home was wherever her family was gathered. To so many people, she wasn't just Nancy-she was simply "Grammie." Her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family. Nancy treasured every moment spent at Duggan's Family Campground, where countless family traditions were made around campfires, shared meals, and weekends together. Nancy also loved traveling with her family, creating unforgettable memories at Disney, Hawaii, Scotland, New York, Chicago, Vegas, and countless camping adventures. Nancy will be remembered for her unconditional love, unwavering loyalty, and joyful spirit. She had a gift for making people feel welcome, cared for, and loved. Her greatest accomplishment wasn't found in anything she owned, but in the family she created - related or not. Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with her true love and know that her love will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandson, and everyone fortunate enough to have known her. A life so beautifully lived leaves a legacy that time can never erase. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at American House for the compassionate care, kindness, and support they provided to Nancy over the past couple of years. The dedication and love that was shown brought comfort to both Nancy and her family, and we will always be grateful. Deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
