Patricia Barachkov

Patricia Barachkov, of Macomb Township, died peacefully at Henry Ford Macomb Hospital on January 8, 2023 at the age of 75. She was born in Hamtramck, MI on September 20, 1947 to the late Leon and Lillian Bojanowski (nee Stafford). She fought valiantly till the end with her battle with cancer, and the family is forever going to miss this kind, loving, shining star in their lives. This is especially true for her soulmate and husband, Danny. In the beginning Pat and Danny dated briefly, but the timing just wasn’t right. Down the road at a classic eastside pool party with mutual friends, Pat spotted Danny. She snuck up behind him and pinched his behind, and let’s just say the rest is history. They have been inseparable since. Pat and Danny enjoyed their trips to see friends on Marco Island, adventures up north, and out west. She and Danny were easy to please, as long as they were together. Even if it meant Pat drove the cart for Danny on his round of golf. All that mattered, was they were by each other’s side. Pat always brightened the room, and was loved by all. She worked an illustrious 26-year career at the former First of America bank (now PNC). She served as an auditor in charge of the processes and procedures for large corporate lending. She was organized, meticulous and cared about her work and her colleagues. She brightened the room everywhere she went. She loved unconditionally and she loved honestly. Danny always adored that Pat loved him for who he was, not what she thought he ought to be. And that was not just true for, Danny. Pat loved everyone for the person they were. She will truly be missed by all that knew and loved her. Rest in peace, Pat. You are home. Pat is the beloved wife of Danny Barachkov. Dear sister of Linda (Cuong) Hoang. Cherished sister-in-law of Toni (Dave) Martin, Peter (Karen) Barachkov, Kim (Todd) Potoczak, Lesli (Cliff) Young, Muriel (Fred) Julian, and Doreen Barachkov. Loving aunt of Natalie (Ryan), Peter, Danielle (Chucky), Mark, Jessica, Cliff Jr., Fred Jr., Lindsey, Christopher, Ashley, Kimberly, Venessa, and Angela. A memorial Mass to honor, Pat is scheduled for 10am, Saturday, January 28, 2023 at St. Isidore Catholic Church (18201 23 Mile Road, Macomb, MI 48042). Visitation will begin at 9:30am prior to Mass at the church. Memorials are suggested to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital. (www.stjude.org .
