Pearl Bommarito

Two days after celebrating her 90th birthday, Pearl Ann Bommarito peacefully entered the Kingdom of Heaven on February 18, 2026, surrounded by love. At 21 years old, Pearl married her beloved husband, Nicholas, beginning a marriage that would span more than 65 years. Together, they raised five children and built a life rooted in faith, family, and love. Her children knew her as the kindest of mothers. Pearl created a home where love was not only spoken, but lived each day through quiet sacrifice, warm meals, and unwavering care. Her devotion as a mother endured throughout her life and was evident even in her final days, marked by the same steady love and quiet strength her children always knew. Pearl was the heart of every family gathering. She rose early to prepare meals that brought everyone to the table. Her homemade Italian cannolis were unmatched and lovingly anticipated at every holiday. Through these traditions, Pearl created lasting memories and strengthened the bonds that hold her family together. Her thoughtfulness, selflessness, and quiet generosity were woven in everything she did, reflecting a woman who found true joy in serving others. She gave freely of her time, attention, and affection, offering steady support and acceptance to all. The example she set continues to shape the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. The simple things in life brought Pearl great joy, from playing cards with her grandchildren to knitting and crocheting thoughtful gifts for others. She was a devout parishioner of St. Isidore Catholic Church and deeply valued her circle of friends at her home community. She especially enjoyed playing skee-ball, competing in horse races, and spending her quarters at bingo, where she somehow always won. Pearl was an avid sports fan, with the Detroit Red Wings being her favorite team of all time. She made a point to watch every hockey game she could and tell you all about them next time you visited. Red was her favorite color, and she proudly wore her Red Wings gear everywhere she went. Pearl is reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband Nicholas, her daughter Katherine, her son-in-law John, and other treasured relatives and friends who preceded her. She is lovingly survived and remembered by her daughters Pearl (Mark), Patricia (Thomas), and Louise (Gary), as well as her son Joseph. Her love continues through her 13 grandchildren, Erica, John (Angela), Aaron, Adam (Anne), Elainna (Alan), Alicia (Ryan), Andrew (Lauren), Ashley (DiCorian), Tara (Connor), Summer (Ryan), Amanda (Travis), Alex, and Matthew, along with her 16 great grandchildren. Her life was a blessing, her legacy will live on, and her memory will be forever cherished. A visitation will be held for Pearl from 3:00-8:00 pm on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road (3 Blks E. of Van Dyke) in Utica. A Funeral Mass to honor Pearl's life will be held at St. Isidore Catholic Church, 18201 23 Mile Rd, Macomb, MI 48042, on Friday, February 27, 2026. She will lie instate at 11:30am until the time of Mass at 12pm. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Pearl's life and legacy.
