Salvatore P. Viviano

Sal Philip Viviano passed away on 2-13-2026 at 63 years of age. He was born on 4-22-1962 on an Easter Sunday. He wore a cross to represent his love of Christ and said it represented the goodness we should all manifest in our lives. Sal was a minister and when his parents celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary, he officiated the renewal of their vows. In 2019, he was preceded in death by his father, Anthony J. Viviano, owner of the family business, Sterling Heights Dodge. In 2012 he tragically lost his beautiful wife, Alicyn, who died of cancer at the young age of 46 yrs. On 7-24-2025, Sal also lost his younger brother and business partner for almost 40 years, Nino Viviano. Sal left his 3 sons, Tony, wife Courtney and their 3 children, Sal, Dominic and Isabelle, Jason, Wife Jacqueline and their 3 children, Jack, Mia and Maci and Rocco with Marcy. Sal is also survived by his mother Catherine Viviano and his 2 sisters, Mary and Elizabeth Viviano. Sal left behind many close friends including RobVargo, Nate Latowski and Jeff Fortuna, with whom he enjoyed his love of golfing and boating. Sal began working as a porter at the car dealership when he was a teenager. He became a registered mechanic and then moved on to be the Parts Manager and then to be a partner with his father. Sal and his brother Nino also became successful car dealers at Meadowbrook Dodge in Rochester,Michigan. Sal loved cars and everyone recognized him on the road with his "Krakatoa" license plate. Sal had a quick sense of humor, laughed easily and was kind and sensitive to everyone. As a young child Sal was fascinated by mathematics. He would visit the local library to absorb books on Physics. When he received a Rubik's cube he mastered it quickly, even creating various designs on its sides. Sal was an avid astronomy fan and loved photographing phenomena in space. NASA once contacted Sal for permission to use one of his photographs. Probably because of his Italian heritage and his father's influence, Sal enjoyed gardening. Every spring, when a Rochester fundraiser sold bouquets of fresh daffodils, Sal purchased bouquets for every girl who worked at the dealership and multiple bouquets for his own office. The world lost a very good man, son, brother, husband, father and a very good friend to many. Rest in Peace Sal. We love you.
