Shannon Finley

Shannon Finley, age 44 passed away December 14, 2020 surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of Steven Finley. Cherished mother of Austin Leonard, Alex Leonard, Ryan Leonard, Mackinzie McLaughlin, Jordan Finley, Nikolas Finley and Samantha Finley. Daughter of the late Mary Wojnarowski and the late Gary Daudlin and Rebecca Daudlin. Daughter in law of Rita and Dave Ryall. Sister of Karen Miller (Jim) and Michael Daudlin (Melissa). Sister in law of Jason Finley and Rachael Finley (Kirstin Brown). Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Shannon was the most amazing wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved spending time with her family, especially her children. Her two dogs, Jax and Bella, were very special to her. She was a gentle, kind person who always had an open-door policy for friends and pets alike. Shannon loved reading, and was known for her impeccable grammar and vocabulary. She also enjoyed tending to her garden, crocheting, attending concerts with her siblings and friends, going to trivia nights with Steven, and cheering on the Detroit Red Wings. Shannon was exceptionally compassionate with a non-judgmental nature that made people feel comfortable to be themselves around her. She was the first to offer an olive branch, was an amazing listener, and never held a grudge. She was blessed to maintain a group of lifelong girlfriends that she saw on a regular basis. One of her favorite things was hosting game night at her house with her neighbors and friends. She was an active participant in her church community and was a devout believer in her faith. Shannon was reserved, but never shied away from a good debate. She was known for being a good listener and was always very understanding. She always had a warm, approachable way about her. Her laugh was contagious and if Shannon was smiling, it seemed impossible not to smile with her. Shannon's caring personality was present in her work as well. She ran her own house cleaning business where many of her clients, over time, became family. She was ever grateful for their love and support over the years, especially to the Brown family and to the Urso family. Shannon touched many lives with her generous heart and kind soul. We will miss her terribly and cherish her memory in our hearts forever. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to her family. Memorial gathering Friday, December 18th from 5:00 - 8:00pm at Wm. Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 8459 Hall Road, Utica, MI.
