Sue Clyne

Sue Dezell Clyne, age 66, a resident of Clinton Township, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 7, 1958, in Mount Clemens, Michigan, Sue led a life marked by devotion to her family and her career, . Sue earned her associate's degree in Nursing from Macomb Community College and went on to have a fulfilling 20-year career as a nurse at Select Specialty Hospital in Mount Clemens. She was known for her compassionate care and dedication to her patients, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her. Sue's love for adventure was evident in her frequent travels, especially with her cherished Traveling Ladies Club. Whether exploring new destinations or revisiting favorite spots, she found joy in every journey. However, her greatest joy came from the time she spent with her family, particularly her beloved grandchildren, Emmerich, Arlowe, Donovan, and Ahri. Sue was a loving mother to Dwight (Andrienne Sines) Dettloff and Kevin (Michelle) Dettloff. She was preceded in death by her dear daughter, Chelsea Dettloff. Sue was the cherished sister of Linda (David) Fletcher and the late Dwight A. Clyne and Leslie Fletcher, and sister-in-law to Frank Fletcher Sr. She was also a beloved aunt to Frank (Carrie) Fletcher, Steve (Jennifer) Fletcher, Leigh Ann Fletcher, Sara Fletcher, and Abby (Joe) Moore, and a proud great-aunt to Logan Feys, Noah Moore, Allie Moore, and the late Jackson Moore. Sue was preceded in death by her loving parents, Dwight and Dora Clyne. She is also survived by many friends and extended family members who will miss her deeply. Sue's legacy of love, kindness, and adventure will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered with fondness and admiration by those whose lives she touched. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Sue's life with a visitation on Monday, August 12, 2024 from 2-8pm at the Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home 8459 Hall Road (3 Blks E. of Van Dyke Ave) Utica. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery Clinton Township, Michigan.
